Winds / Black Ceramics Mug

This black ceramic mug is shaped from black pottery clay and wrapped in a rhythmic wave relief that runs along its sides. The surface draws inspiration from northern winds and the deep blue mussel colonies along the shores of Brittany—raw, dense, and resilient. A layered combination of white and blue glazes settles into the relief, breaking against the dark body like foam against rock.

Completely handmade and hand-glazed, this piece exists as a single, unrepeatable version. The mug is deep, with thick walls and a substantial rim designed for hot black tea. It holds heat well while protecting the hands, and the thick rim allows the tea to be sipped very hot without discomfort. The raised wave pattern is not decorative only—it offers a natural grip and invites you to rest your hands against the warm surface.

Each item from my shop will be sent to you in individually designed handmade packaging with a description tag. It is hence ready to be gifted either to yourself or to someone special (no pricing information is included inside the packaging).
