Whirlpool / Black Ceramics Pendant with Seashell

Seashell-shaped pendant made of glazed ceramics with a tiny shell from Okinawa island inside.

This pendant was hand-sculpted from black ceramic clay and covered with a combination of glazes. It contains a deepening that serves as a chamber housing a real tiny mollusc shell inside. The shell was picked by hand from the beach sand on Okinawa Island in Japan in the summer of 2023. The doming surface of the covering resin provides a magnifying effect, revealing the intricate structure of the seashell inside.

The item price is for the pendant on a thin chain.

The ceramic part of was fired in a kiln thrice at different temperatures to achieve the final look. It exists in a SINGLE VERSION ONLY. By purchasing this item, you become the sole owner of a unique and one-of-a-kind piece.

Each item from my shop will be sent to you in individually designed handmade packaging supplied with a description tag. It is hence ready to be gifted either to yourself or to someone special (no pricing information is included inside the packaging).
