Ranunculus - the Latin name for buttercup - can be translated as “little frog” - probably, reflecting the natural habitat of this plant, often found near streams. In British folklore, there’s a tale about a boy named Ranunculus who was turned into a buttercup by wood nymphs to restore peace in the forest due to his incessant singing.

These round charms are hand-sculpted from porcelain using a mould taken from buttercup (Ranunculus) leaves collected in Brittany, France. They  are hand-glazed and fired in a kiln at high temperatures.

The set includes:

  • One pair of hoop earrings.

  • Two pairs of porcelain charms.

There are 3 hoop styles available: 1. - gold-coloured hinged hoop (wide bad); 2. gold-coloured loop hoop; 3. antique bronze-coloured loop hoop (all shown on photos).

These porcelain charms are versatile and can be used to decorate other hoop earrings you may already own. The charm openings accommodate hoop thicknesses up to 2 mm.

This set was made in a single version and is a one-of-a-kind.

Every item from my shop will be sent to you in a handmade, individually designed box with a description tag. It is ready to be gifted to yourself or someone special (no price information is included in the packaging).

I do my best to ensure the photos are as true to the original as possible. However, depending on the light, the colors may appear slightly different from the original. The listed price is for one pair of festive earrings; the shell and cloud earrings are not included in this listing.
