Planispiral / Illustration Porcelain and Seashell Charm Necklace

Stunning porcelain necklace with archival scientific illustration.

The main piece was hand-sculpted from strong porcelain, fired hot so it’s tough and smooth. The surface carries archival scientific illustration, transferred with cobalt oxide that burns into a deep sea-blue. The illustration is a fragment from 19th-century natural history engraving showing mollusc/nautilus shells and related anatomical features.

The necklace rests on blue cotton cord finished with golden-coloured clasp decorated with a seashell-shaped charm. It was produced in a single version and represents a unique piece of jewellery. The indicated price is for one necklace, other items are not included.

Each item from my shop will be sent to you in individually designed handmade packaging with a description tag. It is ready to be gifted to yourself or someone special (no pricing information is included in the packaging).
