Plains / Ginkgo leaves earrings

Arch-shaped earrings with autumn leaves of the Ginkgo tree.

Ginkgo biloba (maidenhair tree) is known to many as a "living fossil". It is the only currently living species of the Ginkgophyta division. These trees have inhabited Earth for at least 270 million years. They have unique fan-shaped leaves which no other modern seed plant possesses. In the fall Ginkgo leaves turn beautiful saffron-yellow color and fall within a short period of time.

Planes earrings contain cut sections of real Ginkgo biloba leaves collected in Brittany in the fall of 2019. Leaves were picked by hand and dried between the book pages to preserve their natural color and vein structure. Each circle in these earrings contains multiple planes made of cut leaf sections of slightly different shades creating beautiful tiny landscape-like sceneries looking like the plowed autumn fields of Brittany.

These earrings were produced in a smoke-free home. They exist in single version.

Each item from my shop will be sent to you in an individually designed handmade box supplied with a description tag. It is hence ready to be gifted either to yourself or to someone very special (no pricing information is included inside the packaging).
