My blood is the Ocean / Porcelain Seashell Earrings

Fragile, intricate, and disquieting, the earrings sit between the inside of the body and the depths of the sea.

Large yet weightless, each thin porcelain shell is suspended on nearly invisible black wire, making the shells appear to hover in midair. The fronts shimmer with a metallic rainbow glow that shifts with the light, while the backs flash a vivid coral-red, like raw flesh. And when light passes through the thin porcelain, it glows like living tissue filled with running blood. One shell has a fine crack, giving the structure an even more living quality.

Hand-sculpted from vitrified porcelain, glazed by hand and fired in ceramics kiln at high temperature. Despite their size, these earrings feel weightless, a statement piece that moves like a whisper.

The listing price is for one pair of earrings. This item represents a one-of-a-kind piece of jewellery. The bowl shown in some of the photos is available separately.

Each item from my shop will be sent to you in individually designed handmade packaging supplied with a description tag. Hence, it is ready to be gifted to yourself or someone special (no pricing information is included in the packaging).
