Le Croisic is a small seaport town located on a granite peninsula in the west of France—the first signs of human presence at Le Croisic date from the Neolithic. The legend traces the foundation of the city to the baptism of the first Croisicais in the fifth century by Saint Felix, bishop of Nantes, on the site of the current Chapel of the Crucifix, at the entrance of Le Croisic. The port's prosperity was brought by its location between two commercial rivers, the Loire and the Vilaine, and the vast salt marshes of the surrounding area.

The northwest, west, and south coast of the Le Croisic peninsula is composed of rocky and dune formations. This area is less densely urbanised and hence was named La Côte Sauvage (the Wild Coast). The picturesque shoreline of the Côte Sauvage has attracted many known artists. Eugène Boudin, Paul Signac, and other great names can be found under the Le Croisic seascapes.

The pendant contains small seashells from the Southern coast of Le Croisic and was inspired by the natural beauty of this place. Bright Gibbula seashells were collected by hand in the sandy part of the area called La Pierre Longue (the long stone). The pendant rests on a silver-coloured chain.

The pendant was handmade and produced in a smoke-free home. By purchasing this item, you become the sole owner of a unique and one-of-a-kind piece.

Each item from my shop will be sent to you in an individually designed handmade box supplied with a description tag. It is hence ready to be gifted either to yourself or to someone special (no pricing information is included inside the packaging).

I do my best to make photographs as faithful as possible. However, depending on the light, the hues may appear slightly different from the original.
