Fungiidae / Porcelain Earrings

Statement earrings made with vitrified porcelain.

The Fungiidae are a family of coral species, commonly known as mushroom corals or plate corals. These earrings were made by hand mimicking the form of real fossilised coral tests found on the shores of Okinawa - the southmost prefecture of Japan.

Each piece was fired in a kiln at very high temperatures to achieve its final look. Finished with findings covered with real gold plating.

I do my best to make photographs as faithful as possible. However, depending on the light, the hues may appear slightly different from the original.

The listing price is for coral earrings, other items shown in photos are not included.

Each item from my shop will be sent to you in individually designed handmade packaging, supplied with a description tag. It is hence ready to be gifted either to yourself or to someone special (no pricing information is included inside the packaging).
