Walking through winter woods can feel like stepping into a house whose inhabitants have just withdrawn from view. No one is there, yet signs of presence linger: a magpie’s landing marked on fresh snow, a field mouse vanishing into its hidden passage just a few moments before you could see it, a trace of a hare cutting across an open glade, a signature of a duck heading toward the unfrozen heart of a stream. The tracks cross and overlap, and it is hard to tell whether they belong to the same moment or to different hours, whether their makers ever encountered one another.
This wall art composition consists of four individually framed porcelain tiles forming together a winter narrative told through snow prints. Hand-sculpted miniatures, the traced tiles combine together and bring to the wall a silent sensation of the frozen forest, filled with stories of presence and movement that remain unseen yet unmistakably there.
Completely hand-sculpted from porcelain these tiles were fired in a kiln at different temperatures to achieve their look. The listing price is for four framed porcelain tiles, each ready to be hanged on the wall.
